• *Hybrid Veterinary Assistant / Client Service Representative** South Golden Pet Hospital is looking for a dynamic individual inspired to contribute confidently to the successful launch of a best-in-class hospital. This is a full-time, non-exempt position offering either five eight hour shifts or four ten hour shifts. While the schedule is expected to be consistent, changes may be necessary to meet the needs of a growing hospital. • *Role & Responsibilities • *Client Service & Communication • Provide exceptional customer service via phone, text, email, and in-person interactions • Cultivate positive client experiences and manage appointment & surgical schedules • Complete accurate client records, communications, and financial transactions • Confidently communicate with veterinary professionals and escalate complex situations as needed • *Technology & Administrative Tasks • Operate multi-line phone systems and manage electronic communications • Utilize cloud-based software (EzyVet) for scheduling, records, and transactions • Troubleshoot basic office equipment issues (e.g., mobile workstations, phones, credit card terminals, printers, scanners) • *Patient Care Support • Safely and reliably restrain animals • Obtain patient histories, TPRs, weights, and assist with medical records • Perform standard appointment procedures (e.g., vaccinations, nail trims, ear cleanings) • Assist with hospital admissions (verifying consent forms, medications, fasting status) • Support therapeutic procedures, diagnostics (lab work, radiology), and anesthesia monitoring as appropriate (depending on experience and state requirements) • Assist in surgical and dental procedures under supervision • *Equipment & Facility Care • Perform routine maintenance to keep equipment operational • Clean, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments (including managing autoclave cycles) • Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant environment • *Compensation & Benefits: • Competitive salary • Paid time off • Paid holidays • Pet discounts • 401(k) • Medical benefits - Employer contributed premiums • Dental / Vision benefits available • Scrub allowance • *Success in this Role:** • 2+ years of veterinary experience • 4+ years of customer service experience • Experience with exotics preferred • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred • A strong passion for helping others • High emotional intelligence and effective communication skills, especially in receiving and responding to feedback • Proficiency with conflict resolution • Ability to communicate confidently and compassionately with veterinary professionals across different roles • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently • Strong personal accountability, reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to following through on responsibilities • Desire to learn and gain skills in veterinary medicine as well as participating in mentorship.
