Position: Public Health Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $85–$93/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: ~20 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
• Author and review technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance on public health problems.
• Produce original problem sets using epidemiologic charts, surveillance data, and population health figures.
• Write reference solutions and apply structured quality checks.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to improve training data quality and model outputs.
• Work independently and asynchronously with a flexible schedule.
Qualifications
• Must-Have:
• PhD or DrPH in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Policy, or related field, or MD/DO with MPH and 3+ years of public health practice, or MPH with 5+ years in applied epidemiology, surveillance, or health policy.
• Working fluency in at least two of: epidemiologic study design, biostatistics, infectious disease, chronic disease, or health policy.
• Comfortable with epi curves, forest plots, and surveillance dashboards.
• Preferred: Experience in government, NGO, or academic public health track.
