Role Description
Goldbelt Professional Services is seeking an Epidemiologist that will support the study of and factors contributing to the spread of diseases and work to find data-based solutions to impede their transmission.
Responsibilities
• Clean and analyze survey data using SAS, ensuring data integrity and quality control throughout the process.
• Design, program, and validate table shells, charts, and other visual representations of quantitative data to support internal and external reporting.
• Conduct advanced statistical analyses (e.g., regression modeling, weighting, imputation) to generate actionable insights.
• Analyze and summarize qualitative data using established coding frameworks, thematic analysis, and qualitative software tools where appropriate.
• Draft, edit, and contribute to manuscripts, technical reports, and other scientific communications that disseminate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in and sometimes lead the process of publication, dissemination, and peer-review coordination.
• Collaborate with staff and other researchers at CDC by organizing and facilitating virtual meetings, webinars, and workshops, as well as maintaining clear communication through email and written documentation.
• Respond to and facilitate requests for survey data, ensuring compliance with data use agreements and confidentiality standards.
• Apply data management and analysis skills to inform public health emergency preparedness and response, with sensitivity to issues of data privacy, ethical use, and dissemination.
• Enter, manage, and monitor program data in Salesforce CRM; generate automated dashboards, reports, and data extracts to support program evaluation and monitoring.
• Serve on working groups to test, evaluate, and advise on the development and enhancement of data management and information systems.
• Provide training, mentorship, and technical assistance to colleagues and junior staff on data management and analysis best practices.
• Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data cleaning, coding, and analysis to ensure methodological consistency and reproducibility.
• Perform literature reviews to contextualize findings within the broader field of public health and survey research.
• Contribute to proposal writing, grant reporting, and stakeholder presentations by providing data-driven insights and supporting materials.
• Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by leadership and/or task leads, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to organizational priorities.

Requirements
• Master’s degree in Public Health, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis and/or epidemiology.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience using Salesforce.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in public health or health-related field.
• Previous experience in emergency preparedness is highly preferred.
• Previous experience working with CDC.

• The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000.
