Grant Writing Specialist - Non-Profit Development

Our client, a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to (Insert Non-Profit Mission, e.g., community empowerment), is seeking a skilled Grant Writing Specialist to join their development team. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-office collaboration, based out of Colorado Springs, Colorado, US . The primary responsibility of this position is to research, write, and manage grant proposals to secure funding for the organization's programs and initiatives. The successful candidate will possess exceptional writing and research skills, a keen understanding of the non-profit sector, and a proven ability to articulate compelling cases for support. Key Responsibilities: Research potential funding sources, including foundations, government agencies, and corporate giving programs. Write, edit, and proofread high-quality grant proposals, applications, and reports. Develop persuasive narratives that clearly articulate the organization's mission, programs, and impact. Manage the grant submission process, ensuring all deadlines are met and requirements are fulfilled. Maintain a database of grant opportunities, submissions, and awards. Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data for proposals. Cultivate and maintain relationships with foundation program officers and other funders. Track grant reporting requirements and ensure timely submission of progress and final reports. Stay informed about trends and best practices in grant writing and fundraising. Assist in developing overall fundraising strategies and donor communications. Monitor grant budgets and ensure compliance with funding agreements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in grant writing and fundraising for non-profit organizations. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail. Demonstrated success in securing grants from various sources. Proficiency in researching grant opportunities using databases and online resources. Strong understanding of non-profit operations and program development. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid team environment.
