We’re a small, highly collaborative marketing agency looking for a freelance copywriter who can both create from scratch and refine existing ideas into their strongest possible form. This role requires someone who is equally comfortable developing original concepts and stepping into partially formed drafts (including AI-generated starting points) to elevate, sharpen, and humanize the message.
You’ll work across a range of formats, often writing copy that will often live within designed assets—so an understanding of how words function within visual systems is essential.
What You’ll Do
Primary Responsibilities
Write and refine email marketing (campaign blasts and automated user journeys)
Develop social media captions (primarily Instagram and LinkedIn)
Create and edit website copy (landing pages, full sites, event descriptions, etc.)
Secondary / Occasional Support
Review and polish case studies and one-pagers
Contribute to campaign messaging and concept development
Provide edits and feedback on internal drafts and team-generated copy

What We’re Looking For
Ability to write original, compelling copy from scratch that leverages the voice and tone of our clients
Strong editorial instinct—able to tighten, clarify, and improve existing work
Ability to meet deadlines.
Comfort writing for design contexts (understanding hierarchy, brevity, and visual flow)
Ability to adapt to different brand voices and quickly grasp client positioning
Willingness to use AI as a tool, but not rely on it blindly
Clear, proactive communicator who can collaborate with a small, fast-moving team
Strong sense of tone, taste, and restraint (knowing when to push and when to simplify)
Nice to Have
Experience working with small teams or agencies
Background in branding or design-adjacent environments
Strategic thinking around campaigns and messaging systems
Logistics
