Our client a CPA firm is seeking a Controller to join their team. This role is fully remote, and services nonprofit and manufacturing clients Worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Controller-Level Responsibilities
• Willing to perform Bookkeeping tasks
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Prepare and review financial statements
• Implement and improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Support audit preparation and coordination
• Provide guidance and oversight to bookkeeping staff
CFO-Level Responsibilities
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modeling
• Perform financial analysis and variance reporting
• Provide strategic financial insights to leadership teams
• Support long-term financial planning and decision-making
• Partner with clients on growth, scalability, and financial health
Client & Team Collaboration
• Serve as a primary financial contact for assigned clients
• Communicate financial information clearly and professionally
• Collaborate with Trillium’s internal team to deliver consistent service
Qualifications
• 10+ years of accounting and finance experience
• Prior experience as a Controller, Director of Finance, or CFO
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, etc.)
• Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Comfortable working in a contract, service-based environment
Must have Not for Profit and/or Manufacturing Experience
$120-$125K base plus bonus
