About Us
We are a fast-growing metal building and carport manufacturing company based in Florida. We manufacture and install steel carports, garages, RV covers, barns, and related structures through both direct customers and dealer channels.
We are looking for a high-level fractional CFO / finance operator who can help us improve pricing strategy, margin visibility, job costing, and financial analysis as vendor pricing and operational costs continue to increase.
This is NOT a bookkeeping role.
We need someone who understands manufacturing economics, pricing strategy, cost accounting, and operational finance.
Primary Objectives
The immediate focus is helping us:
Analyze vendor/material cost increases
Improve pricing strategy and margin protection
Build product-level profitability analysis
Improve job costing visibility
Create dealer/customer profitability reporting
Build dashboards and executive financial reporting
Identify margin leakage and operational inefficiencies
Analyze backlog exposure related to changing costs
Help create scalable financial controls and pricing systems
Responsibilities
Pricing & Margin Analysis
Build pricing models based on changing vendor/material costs
Recommend pricing adjustments by product category
Analyze contribution margin and gross margin trends
Help implement quote expiration and surcharge strategies
Identify underpriced products or services
Financial Analysis
Build executive dashboards and KPI reporting
Analyze profitability by:
Product type
Dealer/customer
Region
Installation crew
Job type
Forecast cash flow and margin trends
Support strategic operational decision making
Cost Accounting & Operations
Improve job costing processes
Analyze labor, freight, install, and material cost allocation
Evaluate inventory and manufacturing cost structure
Identify operational inefficiencies affecting profitability
ERP / Systems
Work with ERP and CPQ exports (Oracle Fusion / NetSuite experience preferred)
Build reporting models in Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, or similar tools
