We are looking for a part-time Financial Analyst to help screen and analyze lower-middle-market acquisition opportunities.
This role is for someone who understands financial statements, business quality, deal screening, and investment analysis. You will help review incoming deal flow, evaluate opportunities against our investment criteria, use AI tools to move faster, and prepare concise investment summaries and memos.
What You’ll Do
Review CIMs, teasers, financials, and seller-provided materials
Screen deals based on industry, size, margin profile, customer concentration, growth, valuation, and fit with our criteria
Use AI tools to quickly summarize materials, compare opportunities, and rank deals
Build simple financial summaries and valuation snapshots
Identify key risks, red flags, and follow-up questions
Prepare short investment memos for deals worth further review
Help keep the pipeline organized and prioritized
Ideal Candidate
Background in finance, investment banking, private equity, M&A, corporate finance, or deal analysis
Strong understanding of EBITDA, margins, working capital, valuation, and business quality
Comfortable reviewing CIMs, financial statements, and business profiles
Able to think critically and identify what matters quickly
Comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or similar tools to improve speed and quality
Clear writer who can summarize complex information in a simple, practical way
Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
Time Commitment
This is a part-time role, around 5 to 10 hours per week to start. Workload may increase over time if there is a strong fit.
