About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled Field Equipment Installer to join their Installation & Maintenance team in the dynamic city of Seattle, Washington . This role is essential for deploying and setting up telecommunications equipment at various client sites. You will be responsible for the physical installation, configuration, and testing of networking hardware, including routers, switches, servers, and antenna systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, networking principles, and hands-on experience with installation tools and equipment. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for field operations combined with remote planning and documentation. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and test telecommunications hardware, including routers, switches, modems, and antenna systems, at client locations. Perform site surveys to assess installation requirements and identify potential challenges. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and installation manuals. Run and terminate cables, ensuring proper routing and adherence to standards. Diagnose and troubleshoot installation-related issues, collaborating with remote support teams when necessary. Ensure all installations are completed to specifications, adhering to company and industry standards. Maintain accurate records of installations, equipment deployed, and site conditions. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while on job sites. Provide basic on-site training to clients on equipment functionality if required. Assist in inventory management of installation materials and equipment. Update job status and complete reports in a timely manner using company software. Requirements Proven experience as a Field Installer, Telecommunications Technician, or similar role. Solid understanding of telecommunications networks, including LAN/WAN concepts, IP addressing, and basic routing/switching. Hands-on experience installing and configuring networking hardware. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics. Proficiency with hand tools and specialized installation equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Physical ability to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs. Experience with fiber optic installation is a plus.
