About the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Team
The Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) teamｰteam at arenaflex is dedicated to driving future innovation across all aspects of mechatronics and packaging. Our team collaborates with key stakeholders, including Operations, RME, ACES, Supply Chain, Transportation, WW Design, and more, to ensure the delivery of robust products that seamlessly integrate into our fulfillment network. We focus on industrial hardware and control machines, such as robotic cells, autonomous vehicles, sortation, packing technologies, and packaging materials.
Job Overview
We are seeking an outstanding Quality Assurance Engineer - Virtual & Simulation Testing to join our MSP team. As a virtual testing and simulation expert, you will develop virtual platforms to test and verify solutions through simulations and emulations with high fidelity, using real software at full scale. Your role will involve partnering with Product Teams to drive high-quality product delivery, synchronizing virtual and physical tests with the QA Manual Testing and Requirements Team, and ensuring that new solutions meet the requirements of internal customers, including Operations, Maintenance, Process, and Ops Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute simulations and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) testing to virtually validate end-to-end solutions with real-life software.
- Ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, operation, reliability, maintenance, training, deployment, process integration, and service and support prior to delivery.
- Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products, communicating these to the product team, including hardware, software, controls, and materials development teams.
- Coordinate simulations and testing processes, identifying and analyzing issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, and recommending and facilitating solutions.
- Connect with internal customers, review client, customer, and user feedback, and maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree (BS) in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of proven experience working with large cross-functional engineering teams, with expertise in modeling, simulation, testing, integration, and/or quality assurance.
- Proven experience in fulfillment systems, including storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation systems, and related automation equipment.
- Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel up to 70% to business locations and project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics and high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, operations, and management.
- Project management skills to start and finish projects successfully.
