**Temporary Remote Position**
As a Temporary Remote Catastrophe (CAT) Customer Service Representative, you'll work on a temporary, remote basis, responding to catastrophe relief efforts as needed. This position is ideal for individuals who value flexibility and the ability to work from home. You'll be sent available hours weekly, and you'll choose the shifts that best fit your schedule.
**Hours of Operation**
Our hours of operation are from Sunday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM CST. You'll be required to work a minimum of 2 hours per week, with the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs, and you'll have the opportunity to choose your shifts from the available hours.
**Responsibilities**
As a CAT Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
* Providing positive customer service and technical expertise through prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to customer needs.
* Offering empathy and support to customers during the claim process.
* Collecting and documenting all claim details provided by the customer into the claim accurately.
* Identifying and resolving customer issues by adhering to clients-specific handling instructions.
* Utilizing call scripting to ensure consistency and efficiency in handling customer claims and inquiries.
**Requirements**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* A high school diploma or equivalent
* Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
* The ability to type swiftly and accurately (40+ words a minute)
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
* Basic understanding of Windows operating systems
* Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
* The ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues
* Must be customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious)
* Ability to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage
* The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based
* Must be willing to submit to a background investigation and drug test as part of the onboarding process. Job offers are contingent on background investigations and drug screening results.
**Computer and Network Requirements**
To work as a CAT Customer Service Representative, you'll need:
* A computer with Windows 10, Windows 11, or Windows Home operating system
* A headset (preferably with a microphone)
* A private network connection (Ethernet or Wi-Fi)
* A stable internet connection (at least 10 Mbps download speed)
* A Speedtest result from the computer you'll be working from (www.speedtest.net)
