**Job Summary**
The Technology SCM Category Manager is a trusted advisor who will lead the development and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiations, and contract management for Air Operations Technology spend. This role requires a deep understanding of the Technology supply chain and the ability to navigate complex contracts and supplier relationships. As a Category Manager, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure suppliers meet business objectives, maximize supplier value, and mitigate risk. You'll also serve as a consultant on Air Operations Technology spend and supplier-related issues, providing expert guidance and mentorship to more junior team members.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize Air Operations Technology spend
* Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable contracts and terms
* Manage and maintain relationships with key suppliers, ensuring they meet business objectives and deliver high-quality products and services
* Analyze and report on supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for cost savings
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement category strategies and plans
* Provide expert guidance and mentorship to more junior team members on Air Operations Technology spend and supplier-related issues
* Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in the Technology supply chain
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
* Minimum 5 years of experience in Technology supply chain management, with a focus on category management and strategic sourcing
* Proven track record of success in negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier relationships
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for improvement
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
* Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the Technology supply chain and industry trends
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
* Certification in Supply Chain Management, such as CSCP or CLTD
* Experience working in the airline industry or a related field
* Strong knowledge of contract management and negotiation best practices
