**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Specialty Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Transplant to join our team in Smyrna, GA. As a key member of our Specialty Mail Order team, you will be responsible for routing questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion, making outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a high-production environment will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
**Responsibilities**
* Route questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion
* Make outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes
* Work in a high-production environment, multitasking between patient referrals while maintaining excellent customer service
* Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate and timely processing of prescriptions
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and prescription data
* Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with changing regulations and best practices
* Provide exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
* Work collaboratively with the team to achieve departmental goals and objectives
**Requirements**
* 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
* Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA
* High School diploma, GED or equivalent
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong computer skills and proficiency in data entry software
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Specialty pharmacy experience
* Call center experience
* Prescription adjudication experience in order to communicate with prescribers regarding case status and assess prescription claim issues
