Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 7-9 field sales account managers to achieve revenue targets and key performance objectives with small and medium-sized business clients in Illinois.
- Collaborate with extended AWS resource staff leadership, including Solutions Architects, Service Line Leaders, Product Specialists, Field Marketing, Partner Sales, and Sales Operations to execute sales programs that drive results against key product, channel, and service goals.
- Provide field leadership oversight and engagement necessary to delight clients and deliver customer-obsessed business results through dedicated agreements, modernization projects, and service/support decisions.
- Develop and drive revenue-producing field relationships with AWS Systems Integrators (SIs) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) operating in Illinois.
- Create, develop, and maintain a bar-raising performance sales culture within the Illinois region that accelerates career development for successful individuals and addresses performance management as needed.
- Determine and communicate area forecasts (weekly, quarterly, and annually as required) and write clear, concise, and compelling monthly business reviews (MBRs) describing region sales drives, local market insights, key wins, losses, and competitive intelligence.
Essential Qualifications
- BA/BS degree required.
- 4+ years of outreach team management experience.
- 4+ years of technology-related sales or sales engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to support the development of others.
- Proven track record of executing scalable projects across a volume of new and existing clients.
- Consistent history of achieving and exceeding revenue targets through a team of Account Managers.
