**Key Responsibilities:**
As a Retail Customer Service Cashier, you'll be responsible for:
* Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable
* Accurately and efficiently processing transactions, handling cash, credit card payments, and other forms of payment
* Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including the cash wrap area and surrounding areas
* Collaborating with colleagues to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service
* Participating in visual merchandising and inventory management activities
* Maintaining a high level of product knowledge and staying up-to-date on promotions and sales
* Operating a cash register, POS system, and other equipment as needed
* Maintaining accurate records and reports, including sales data and customer information
**Essential Qualifications:**
* Basic computer and math knowledge
* Ability to count money accurately and efficiently
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
* Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
* Visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, and viewing a terminal
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Previous retail experience, preferably in a customer-facing role
* Basic knowledge of cash handling procedures and policies
* Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
* High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred
