About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Customer Service Representative - Credit and Collections to join our team. As a key member of our customer service department, you will be responsible for maintaining sound customer relationships by handling questions and concerns with speed, accuracy, and professionalism. You will provide timely responses to customer inquiries, process credits, and ensure seamless communication with our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Inquiries and Requests: Respond promptly to customer inquiries and process requests via automated phone system, email, web, or mail regarding invoices, payments, and collections. Provide solutions to customer issues and position Stericycle products and services effectively.
• Credit Creation and Management: Process credits on behalf of customers according to current credit policy and perform necessary record-keeping activities.
• Communication and Multitasking: Utilize excellent communication and multitasking skills to manage multiple customer inquiries and requests simultaneously, ensuring attention to style, tone, and manner of communication.
• Problem-Solving and Efficiency: Share ideas with the department to increase efficiencies and effectiveness of customer needs, and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Record Keeping and Follow-up: Complete required follow-up and/or corrections on accounts using company systems, and maintain accurate records.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems, software applications, and technology tools.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and make sound judgments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer service, credit, or collections.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare or commercial industries.
• Language Skills: Fluency in multiple languages.
