**Key Responsibilities**
As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
* Modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience, ensuring that every customer leaves our stores feeling valued and satisfied.
* Registering sales on assigned cash register, providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
* Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
* Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
* Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items.
* Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested; processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
* Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records.
* Performing duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
* Reporting, immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhering to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
* Handling telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.
* Processing (correcting and resubmitting) manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performing other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
* Assisting and supporting Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
* Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products).
* Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise.
* Assisting with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves).
* Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products.
* Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
**Essential Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) or state required certification/registration a plus.
* Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, pharmacists, and other team members.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work in a team environment, with a positive and supportive attitude.
* Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment, with a focus on customer service and patient care.
* Knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures, including prescription processing and inventory management.
* Experience with pharmacy systems and software, including electronic health records and prescription management systems.
* Certification in pharmacy technology (PTCB) or state required certification/registration.
* Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
