**Key Responsibilities**
As an Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for:
* **Customer Experience**: Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
* **Operations**: Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service. Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items. Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash and distribute change as requested; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
* **Pharmacy Support**: Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
* **Inventory Management**: Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals. Maintain knowledge of Company asset protection techniques and file claims for warehouse overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods involving Rx drugs.
* **Store Maintenance**: Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance. Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
* **Training & Personal Development**: Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration. Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate and acquire continuing education credits. Maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest news and developments.
**Essential Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
* 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy or retail environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
* Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
* PTCB certification or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a pharmacy or retail environment
* Knowledge of pharmacy systems and procedures
* Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management software
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
