**Job Summary**
As an Experienced Patient Care Advocate, you'll be responsible for handling customer service inquiries from members, providers, physicians, and internal and external clients related to pharmacy benefits. You'll work to research and resolve problems in a timely manner, assist members in understanding and maximizing the use of their pharmacy distribution program, and use our computerized system to gather information and respond to questions. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Handle inbound and outbound member, provider, and physician calls to address pharmacy benefits-related inquiries
* Answer questions related to pharmacy benefits, maintaining productivity standards and performance guarantees where applicable
* Work with other operational departments to research and resolve mail order and claims issues and respond to members within performance agreement guidelines
* Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries to continuously improve the customer service process and reduce potential legal concerns
* Identify and escalate concerns received from patients and/or clients in a prudent manner, ensuring corrective action is pursued and expedited to take care of their needs
* Adhere to quality and production standards while complying with all applicable company, state, and federal safety regulations
* Perform other duties as needed to support the team and achieve business objectives
**Essential Qualifications**
* 1 year of experience in a call center environment (Preferred)
* 1 year of experience in customer service (Preferred)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to maintain accurate and complete documentation
* Familiarity with computerized systems and software applications
* Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a healthcare or pharmacy benefits environment
* Knowledge of pharmacy benefits and related regulations
* Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))
* Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools
