EXPERIENCED MEDICAL RECORDS DIRECTOR needed RHIT OR RHIA REQUIRED

Job Summary WE ARE LOOKING FOR A STRONG CANDIDATE TO ADD TO OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM. WE ARE A NATIONWIDE COMPANY THAT PROCESSES REQUESTS FOR MEDICAL RECORDS AT HOSPITALS, CLINICS, AND OTHER MEDICAL FACILITIES. THIS IS A FULLY REMOTE POSITION, WITH HOURS BEING 8-5PM MONDAY THRU FRIDAY. CANDIDATES MUST HOLD AN RHIT OR RHIA AND HAVE AT LEAST 5 YEARS OF MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE IN HEALTH INFORMATION (either hospital or clinic side). DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HOLD A RHIT/RHIA CREDENTIAL, OR DO NOT HAVE AT LEAST 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT. Responsibilities MANAGE AND TRAIN CCBS, INC. RELEASE OF INFORMATION STAFF • Maintain and organize patient medical records in accordance with established protocols and regulations. • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of medical records by reviewing documentation for compliance with legal and regulatory standards. • Process requests for medical records from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies while adhering to privacy laws. • Update and enter patient information into electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately. • Assist in the retrieval of medical records for clinical staff as needed to support patient care. • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper documentation practices are followed. • Train new staff on medical record management procedures and systems as required. Requirements RHIT REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION, ALONG WITH AT LEAST 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT ROLE. • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare environment is preferred. • Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of healthcare regulations is essential. • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications. • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff professionally.
