**Job Summary**
As a Medical Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and support. You will be responsible for answering inbound calls, making outbound calls, and providing assistance with medically related inquiries. Your exceptional communication skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities will enable you to navigate complex medical and insurance-related issues with ease.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to assist with medically related inquiries
* Utilize computer skills for data entry and gather and review patient billing and medical information
* Operate according to the guidelines of the Federal Health Care Program
* Work with carriers to ensure coverage of medication on behalf of the patient
* Provide positive customer service and empathy to patients and customers
* Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
* Multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure efficient service delivery
**Requirements**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
* 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in the healthcare industry
* Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
* Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred)
* Excellent customer service skills with a patient-focused attitude
* Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
* Strong multitasking and organizational skills
* High-speed internet with modem access required
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
* Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software systems
* Certification in medical terminology or a related field (e.g., CMT, RMA)
