**Responsibilities**
As a Medical Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional phone support to our clients and patients. Your primary duties will include:
* Handling calls from hospitals about billing inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
* Assisting patients effectively by clarifying their questions and ensuring they receive the information they need
* Problem-solving champion: Working through issues by pinpointing the root cause, researching solutions, implementing the best option, and escalating unresolved matters when necessary
* Data entry specialist: Maintaining accurate patient records by inputting information into our computer system
* Connecting callers seamlessly: Routing incoming calls to the most suitable person within the company
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
* **Experience**: You must have experience working in a call center with a healthcare background. Previous experience in Medical Claims and/or Insurance is highly preferred.
* **Epic Software experience**: While not mandatory, experience with Epic Software is highly preferred.
* **Language skills**: Bi-lingual skills are a plus, but not required.
* **Education**: You must have a High School Diploma, GED, or Transcripts.
* **Background check**: You'll be required to undergo a criminal background check.
* **Drug screen testing**: You'll be required to complete a drug screen testing (testing for THC).
* **Internet requirements**: You must have High Speed Internet with a minimal of 50 Mbps Download/20 Mbps Upload Speed. You must be able to hard wire via Ethernet cable.
* **Work environment**: You'll need to work from home in a quiet setting with no others within earshot, due to HIPAA compliance. You'll need a workspace to accommodate two monitors and a computer.
