**Job Summary**
As a Medical Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be the primary point of contact for our members, providers, and advocacy groups. Your role will involve:
* Receiving and responding to member complaints and formal grievances, identifying potential access barriers, and resolving issues in accordance with our grievance procedure.
* Investigating and resolving access and cultural sensitivity issues identified by member services staff, state staff, providers, advocacy organizations, and recipients.
* Participating in local community organizations to acquire knowledge and insight regarding the special healthcare needs of our members and updating educational materials as necessary.
* Serving as the primary contact for member advocacy groups, human services agencies, and state entities.
* Maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Respond to member complaints and formal grievances in a timely and empathetic manner, identifying potential access barriers and resolving issues in accordance with our grievance procedure.
* Investigate and resolve access and cultural sensitivity issues identified by member services staff, state staff, providers, advocacy organizations, and recipients.
* Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations, advocacy groups, and human services agencies to stay informed about the special healthcare needs of our members.
* Provide education and support to members, providers, and advocacy groups regarding our services and benefits.
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and improve member satisfaction.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of member interactions and issues.
**Essential Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 3 years of customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
* Medicare and/or Medicaid experience preferred.
* Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working with vulnerable populations, such as seniors, children, or individuals with disabilities.
* Knowledge of healthcare regulations and laws, including HIPAA.
* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
