Key Responsibilities
As a General Education Teacher for Student Academic Excellence, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state curriculum standards, catering to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Student Progress Assessment: Assess and track student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness to inform instruction and drive student growth.
- Classroom Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional learning, respect, and empathy among students.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school administration to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience for all students.
- Classroom Management: Implement effective classroom management strategies to minimize disruptions and maximize learning opportunities.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education and enhance your teaching skills.
Education, License, and Certification Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Teaching Certification: A valid South Carolina teaching certification.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in the field of education, preferably in a general education setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Master's Degree: A Master's degree in Education or a related field.
- Special Education Experience: Experience working with students with special needs or English language learners.
- Technology Integration: Familiarity with educational technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and student learning.
