Job Summary
As a Pharmacist Centralized Services professional with Walgreens, you will be responsible for executing patient intervention pharmacy programs, driving pharmacy financial performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with our clinical teams to deliver high-quality patient care and services, and you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute patient intervention pharmacy programs, including medication therapy management, vaccination services, and payer and pharma adherence and clinical programs.
- Drive pharmacy financial performance by implementing pharmacy programs to maximize reimbursements while improving patient health outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA guidelines and FDA regulations.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clinical networks in assigned areas and serve as a liaison and contact for the organization.
- Provide clinical expertise and support to pharmacists and field leaders.
- Conduct data and clinical reviews to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions.
- Review medication records and patient profiles to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
- Provide individualized patient counseling and education.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A current pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience working in a clinical pharmacy setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
