As a Safety Analyst, you'll play a critical role in supporting our Safety department, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance. **Job Summary** We're seeking an experienced Safety Analyst to join our team, responsible for processing reviews, collecting data, developing reports, following up on corrective actions, investigating activities, and collaborating on various initiatives as assigned. The successful candidate will help control the improvement and implementation of SMS data collection systems, and other techniques that optimize strategies and structures used to determine compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, as well as standard business practices. **Key Responsibilities** As a Safety Analyst, you'll be responsible for: * Acting as a project coordinator for Safety Programs * Collaborating with Safety Department Managers on safety activities * Reviewing, analyzing, and investigating all reports acquired through the safety reporting system (Operational/Irregularity, ASAP, Fatigue) * Analyzing technical data from hazards, activities, and occurrences, and identifying and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets * Acting as a safety auditor for the Internal Evaluation Program, Safety Investigations, and accelerated hazard areas of operations * Tracking, analyzing, and interpreting data outputs from the Company's safety programs * Assisting with the management of the company databases for the purpose of advanced airline safety * Assisting the Safety Team in any critical investigations * Providing technical knowledge to Management concerning data models, database design improvement, and data mining * Preparing relevant reports and communicating safety-related data to managers and line employees in support of the Safety Management System (SMS) * Assisting with the development, implementation, and control of the Company's Safety Management System (SMS) * Acting as a member of the Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) Monitoring Team, overseeing aircraft data collection (including Technical Operations), conducting FOQA data evaluation, and fashioning identity * Maintaining FOQA Database and ensuring organization compliance with FOQA guidelines * Assisting with the continuous development of the risk identification and safety hazard evaluation schemes of the Company * Preparing research studies regarding aviation safety trends * Any other duties assigned by management **Qualifications** We're looking for a candidate with: * Knowledge of Aviation Safety programs (ASAP, FOQA, LOSA, FRMP, IEP, VDRP) * Operational familiarity with Flight Operations, Dispatch, Inflight, and Maintenance * Knowledge of aircraft systems, minimum system lists, aircraft dispatch procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations * Knowledge of Safety Management System requirements, hazard control, safety assurance, safety reporting, and safety promotion * Basic knowledge of Crew Resource Management principles and aviation human factors * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products * Excellent writing skills, including report writing, document writing, and correspondence with regulatory agencies * Excellent verbal, presentation, and educational skills * Strong technical and data analysis skills; Ability to perform statistical analysis and audits **Preferred Skills** * Bachelor's degree in an associated field * Previous experience in airline operations * FAA aircraft dispatcher, pilot, and/or A&P certificate **Benefits** As a valued member of our team, you'll enjoy: * Comprehensive benefits package including dental and vision * PPO and high-deductible health plans * Health savings accounts (HSA and FSA) * Dependent Care * Starting day one free standby and discounted travel privileges for employees, family, and friends * 401(k) match * Paid Time Off * Paid holidays * Life and AD&D Insurance * Employee Assistance Program including counseling for employees and their family * Fitness incentive and Stop Smoking Support **Additional Notes** * Must be able to obtain SIDA Badge * arenaflex is an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals, regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
