**About the Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Role**
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Control Standards Data Analyst to join our team as a Mid-Year 2024 Understudy. As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation within our Quality Control division. You will be responsible for identifying statistical patterns and performance metrics to improve the Quality Control division, and for using data to create, present, and implement innovative ideas and projects.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:
* Performing and assisting others in the Quality Control group in ideal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data components
* Helping to create and present results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders
* Assisting in exploring ad-hoc requests arising from emerging maintenance issues and providing logical answers to enable Senior Leaders to make business decisions while balancing existing project responsibilities
* Presenting findings, trends, and potential recommendations by using data visualization tools supporting the relevant marks of the investigation to ease partner understanding
* Helping to create and disseminate specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, establishing the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements
* Identifying irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and conveying findings to the team
* Assessing the effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for patterns and errors
* Ensuring that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision
* Performing other work duties as directed by Group Leader
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Data Science, Statistics, or Mathematics
* A strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large datasets with care and accuracy
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively listen, understand, and convey ideas and present findings in writing, verbally, or through presentations to diverse audiences
* A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Familiarity with data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase
* The ability to grasp the issue, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning
* A willingness to work independently in a team-oriented, help-oriented climate
* A strong focus on responsibilities and a self-motivated attitude
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
* Past internship, capstone project, or research experience in a related field
* Familiarity with data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase
* Experience with PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications
* Past internship experience in a connected field
* The ability to manage sensitive and confidential data appropriately
* The ability to plan and support large business initiatives
