Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Scientist to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our data science team, you will be responsible for leveraging advanced data science, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques to drive business growth and improve customer experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Build and deploy machine learning models using technical expertise in data science, statistical modeling, probability and decision theory, and other quantitative techniques.
- Develop and maintain large-scale data pipelines using cloud-based technologies such as Azure/Databricks, Snowflake, and other data warehousing and business intelligence tools.
- Design and implement data visualization and reporting tools to communicate insights and recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and business leaders to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes.
- Develop and maintain advanced data science and machine learning algorithms using Python, PySpark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other relevant technologies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes.
- Develop and maintain data quality and governance processes to ensure high-quality data is available for analysis and decision-making.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data science and machine learning, and apply this knowledge to drive business growth and improvement.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, or engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field, with a strong background in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies such as Azure/Databricks, Snowflake, and other data warehousing and business intelligence tools.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques such as supervised and unsupervised learning, clustering, decision trees, and neural networks.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, or engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with emerging trends and technologies in data science and machine learning, such as deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with data governance and quality processes, such as data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques such as supervised and unsupervised learning, clustering, decision trees, and neural networks.
