About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our Remote Operations Analytics team. Responsibilities
- Locate and extract data from various sources to inform business decisions, model development, and project execution.
- Clean and curate datasets by identifying new data sources, collaborating with stakeholders, and aggregating perspectives into meaningful hierarchies.
- Develop and maintain data environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance automated reports and analyses that support divisional leaders and business units.
- Leverage emerging technologies and proactively identify innovative approaches to communicate data and insights that meet business needs.
- Support strategy development and project control engagements for business units and cross-divisional initiatives.
- Train and mentor team members on various skills and topics, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Practice security-aware behaviors in all operational practices and procedures.
- Embody a team-first mindset, prioritizing the success of our team and business partners above all else.
- Be intellectually curious, ask questions, and communicate ideas effectively.
- Experience working in high-profile environments with fluid priorities, ambiguity, and competitive deadlines.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT patterns.
- Proficiency with Python, SAS, or other comparable tools and programming languages.
- Ability to troubleshoot a reporting database environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously, managing multiple requests with varying timelines.
- Self-starter with a resilient, solution-minded approach to complex problems, working individually or as part of a team.
- Consistent prioritization of security and protection of self, others, and personal data.
- Embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a willingness to learn from and collaborate with others.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or certificate in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Previous airline experience.
- Working knowledge of and/or experience with cloud-based solutions (i.e., Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
