**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Principal Engineer in Data Analytics & Science to join our team. As a key member of our data leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions that drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience. Your expertise in data engineering, analytics, and science will help shape the company's data strategy, inform business decisions, and drive innovation.
**Key Responsibilities**
* **Lead and Coach a Team of Experts**: As a Principal Engineer, you will lead a team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical direction to ensure the success of data-driven projects.
* **Develop and Implement Data Solutions**: You will design, develop, and deploy data solutions that meet business needs, leveraging cloud-based technologies, big data platforms, and advanced analytics tools.
* **Drive Data Strategy**: You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven strategies that drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience.
* **Ensure Data Quality and Security**: You will develop and implement data quality and security processes to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of data.

**Essential Qualifications**
* **15+ Years of Experience in Data Engineering and Analytics**: You must have a proven track record of success in data engineering, analytics, and science, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the field.
* **5+ Years of Leadership Experience**: You must have at least 5 years of experience in leadership or senior roles, demonstrating the ability to guide and lead a team.
* **Cloud Experience**: You must have experience working with cloud-based technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
* **Big Data Experience**: You must have experience working with big data platforms, such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
* **Advanced Analytics Skills**: You must have advanced skills in data analysis, machine learning, and data visualization tools, such as Python, R, SQL, and Tableau.
* **Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills**: You must have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* **Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science, or Related Field**: A master's or Ph.D. in computer science, informatics, data science, or a related field is preferred.
* **Industry Certifications**: Relevant industry certifications, such as Certified Data Scientist (CDS) or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), are a plus.
* **Experience in Retail, Manufacturing, E-commerce, or Supply Chain**: Experience in retail, manufacturing, e-commerce, or supply chain is highly desirable.
**Compensation and Benefits**
* **Salary Range**: $160,000 - $230,000 per year
