Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at blithequark. As a key member of our tech group, you'll play a crucial role in designing, building, and deploying cloud-based data processing and analytics systems. Key Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Data Engineer at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing and building cloud-based data processing and analytics systems using Java, Scala, and other relevant technologies.
- Developing and deploying high-performance data pipelines using Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and other NoSQL databases.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data systems.
- Building and maintaining microservices and API gateways using Docker, Kubernetes, and other cloud-native technologies.
- Participating in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team.
- Leading by example and mentoring junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in software development, with a focus on data engineering and cloud-based systems.
- Proficiency in Java, Scala, and other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra and Elasticsearch.
- Knowledge of cloud-native technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Strong understanding of data processing and analytics concepts, including data pipelines, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:
- Experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Storm, or other distributed messaging systems.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with DevOps tools, including Jenkins, GitLab, and Docker.
- Strong understanding of security and compliance concepts, including data encryption, access control, and auditing.
- Experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
