**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data Engineer to join our team of talented professionals. As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and applications that support our business operations. **Key Responsibilities**
* Design and develop large-scale data pipelines and applications that support business operations
* Collaborate with data science teams to integrate data and models into automated processes
* Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and tools for continuous and batch processing
* Work with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) to design and implement data pipelines
* Develop strong programming skills in Python or other major languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems
* Assemble data stores and data models to support information science and other internal clients
* Investigate current data technology trends to identify and evaluate key capabilities and suggest solutions
* Explore new tools and technologies to determine the best approach given the requirements of the model or use case
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering
* 5+ years of experience with SQL
* 5+ years of experience with Python
* Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
* Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
