As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in delivering outstanding service to our customers, resolving issues, and providing solutions.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our Payments and Digital Strategy team at Blithequark. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for performing daily functions related to check processing, object processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers. You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless operations, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete data entry and balancing functions to ensure accurate and efficient processing of transactions
- Coordinate return items with members, doors vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve issues and discrepancies
- Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated Accounting standard ledger balancing to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Work on member cases and sports assigned to you, providing solutions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Follow and maintain guidelines and approaches to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
- Process mortgage bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other exams, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff exams
- Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Log, study, and make important GL, account changes, and/or returns to ensure accurate and efficient processing of transactions
- Process Stop Pays and Check Batching to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions
- Complete daily balancing and department closing to ensure seamless operations
Essential Qualifications
Education and Prior Job Experience
- High school degree or GED required
- Intermediate Excel and Word experience necessary
Skills, Licenses, and Certifications
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs
- Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-volume pressure
- Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department
- Ability to engage professionally with all personnel and members
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to self-motivate with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Education and Prior Job Experience
- Previous customer/member service experience
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience
- Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience
