About the Role: Data Entry Specialist
We're seeking a talented and motivated Data Entry Specialist to join our dynamic team at blithequark. As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting the design, build, test, and maintenance of data pipelines at scale. This is an exceptional opportunity to develop your skills, work on complex projects, and contribute to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, build, test, and maintenance of data pipelines at scale, ensuring seamless data flow and integrity.
- Refresh data from various sources, working with different data formats and structures.
- Process batch data, matching its structure to stored data and ensuring it's ready for analysis.
- Maintain the environment and pipeline, investigating standard performance, data-related issues, and providing L3 support.
- Implement parsers, validators, transformers, and correlators to reformat, update, and enhance data quality.
- Provide solutions to complex problems and offer guidance to junior team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven insights and high-value business solutions.
Essential Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A degree in Computer Science, Data Systems, or a quantitative discipline like Math or Engineering.
- Basic knowledge of data engineering and machine learning frameworks, including design, development, and implementation of complex systems and data pipelines.
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary project teams and strong oral and written communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, having the following skills and experience will give you a competitive edge:
- Technical background in software engineering, programming, database systems, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and a deep understanding of optimizing computational considerations with theoretical properties.
- Experience building robust cloud-based data engineering and curation solutions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure tooling for large-scale data engineering endeavors, including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL DW, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Experience with data processing, streaming, and batch ingestion, as well as data storage solutions like SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, and Scala, and experience with DevOps practices.
