As a key member of our data management team, you'll be responsible for gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into our system database. If you're a detail-oriented, tech-savvy individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Responsibilities** As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include: * Gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into the appropriate system database * Reviewing data for discrepancies, missing pages, or information and resolving discrepancies using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution * Entering both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into the proper system database * Reviewing data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correcting any data entry errors or duplications * Following data program security practices and procedures at all times * Routinely securing information by completing database backup daily * Performing other various clerical duties such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required * Maintaining confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times and in accordance with HIPAA regulations * Performing other duties as assigned **Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications: * **Education and/or Experience**: High school diploma or equivalent required; a minimum of 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience * **Experience in a Medical Office**: Experience in a medical office preferred but not required * **Tech-Savviness and Attention to Detail**: MUST be tech-savvy and be detail-oriented * **Computer Skills**: Must possess complete knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone * **Software Proficiency**: Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet * **Typing Speed**: Must be a qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M. * **Communication Skills**: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met; demonstrates exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions where clarification is needed * **Confidentiality**: Must be able to maintain confidentiality * **Team-Oriented Environment**: Must demonstrate and promote a positive team-oriented environment **Skills and Competencies** To excel in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
