**Job Summary**
We're seeking an Experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team at arenaflex. As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and systems that support our business operations. You'll work closely with our Data Science team to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that drive business growth and innovation. **Key Responsibilities**
As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
* Designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and systems that support our business operations
* Collaborating with our Data Science team to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that drive business growth and innovation
* Developing and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other technologies
* Creating and maintaining data sets, tables, and views to support data analysis and science
* Delivering high-quality data sets as input to science models and visualizations
* Working with our DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of data pipelines and systems
* Collaborating with our Data Governance team to ensure data quality and compliance with regulatory requirements
* Participating in code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
* Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and cloud-based computing
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Proficiency in Python and SQL (ideally with Snowflake)
* Experience with creating and maintaining automated work schedulers
* Strong understanding of data set design and architecture
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies (ideally cloud-based, like Snowflake, Databricks, or similar)
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:
* Experience working with huge datasets and large data technologies, ideally cloud-based
* Proficiency in cloud design and product contributions, ideally AWS
* Experience overseeing and delivering code using a source control item like GitLab/GitHub
* Experience using Docker
