**The Role**
We're seeking an experienced data engineer to join our Data Engineering team at arenaflex. As a data engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and supporting our cloud-based data pipelines. You'll work closely with our data science team to ensure that our data is accurate, reliable, and easily accessible. Your expertise will help us to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and create new opportunities for innovation.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design, develop, and support cloud-based data pipelines using a range of technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, and GitLab
* Collaborate with data scientists to ensure that our data is accurate, reliable, and easily accessible
* Develop and maintain automated workflows and data pipelines to support business operations
* Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data engineering projects
* Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes and procedures
* Participate in code reviews and ensure that code is well-documented and follows best practices
* Troubleshoot and resolve data engineering issues in a timely and efficient manner
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Strong expertise in Python and SQL, with a focus on cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks
* Experience with Docker, GitLab, and other DevOps tools
* Strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS
* Experience with source control systems, such as GitLab or GitHub
* Experience with automated workflow management tools, such as Apache Airflow
* Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles
* Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
