**Job Summary**
As a Network Protection Examiner Understudy, you will work with business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes to develop high-quality technical solutions. You will ensure that solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business strategies, and departmental standards. Your responsibilities will also include managing timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget. You will also act as a resource to facilitate effective communication between business and Innovation teams, participate in system and acceptance testing, and extend your work to meet the needs of the team project.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Work with business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes to develop high-quality technical solutions
* Ensure solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business strategies, and departmental standards
* Manage timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget
* Act as a resource to facilitate effective communication between business and Innovation teams
* Participate in system and acceptance testing
* Extend your work to meet the needs of the team project
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
* Fundamental knowledge of data security and risk management standards, theories, and strategies
* Experience or exposure to Proofpoint PhishAlarm preferred
* Experience or knowledge of ServiceNow Administration, Risk and Compliance (GRC) preferred
* Essential knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement
* Major understanding of project management systems, including the ability to design, manage, and maintain a complex, organization-wide program
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Fundamental knowledge of technical environment required
* Openness to Agile philosophies preferred
* Coursework or experience related to Network security preferred
* Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines
* Past investigator entry-level position experience within the past year preferred
* Experience resolving business issues in a capstone or case competition preferred
* Ability to work in a culture that is open, direct, conscious, gracious, and empathetic
* Fast learner, self-motivated, team-oriented, with a sense of humor
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a cybersecurity role
* Knowledge of threat intelligence and incident response
* Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems
* Familiarity with cloud security platforms
* Experience with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools
* Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
