You'll learn about our products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions. Your goal will be to greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department, while maintaining a safe and clean working environment. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide exceptional customer service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance * Learn about products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions * Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department * Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe * Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards * Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments * Participate in sales training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge * Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics * Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred * 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or similar environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods * Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays **Preferred Qualifications** * 2+ years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or similar environment * Experience working in a sales-driven environment * Knowledge of building materials, décor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen and bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental products and services * Familiarity with sales software and technology * Certification in customer service or sales (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR), Certified Sales Professional (CSP)) **Skills and Competencies** * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and customers * Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities * Strong time management and organizational skills * Ability to meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics * Familiarity with sales software and technology * Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
