**Key Responsibilities:**
As a Customer Service & Sales Associate at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
* Providing fast, friendly service to customers by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance
* Learning about products using our tools and providing information to customers to sell entire projects
* Greeting, qualifying, recommending, and closing every customer in your department
* Maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
* Providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions, or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty
* Working in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
* Participating in sales initiatives and promotions to drive sales growth and meet sales targets

Our Customer Service & Sales Associates work in a variety of store departments, including:
* Building Materials
* Décor
* Electrical
* Flooring
* Garden
* Hardware
* Kitchen & Bath
* Lumber
* Millwork
* Paint
* Plumbing
* Tool Rental
**Position Types:**

* Department Sales

**Essential Qualifications:**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
* Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
* High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred
**Preferred Qualifications:**
While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:
* Previous experience in a retail or sales environment
* Knowledge of construction, home improvement, or retail products
* Experience with sales software and technology
