**Job Summary**
As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service to patients receiving life-saving specialty medication treatment. You will be responsible for the general coordination and handling of new prescription drug orders and reorders, including verifying and renewing benefits. You will also assist our patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system, processing and collecting copay amounts, obtaining approvals, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and approve orders with records of sales or clinical issues.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide phone support to patients receiving life-saving specialty medication treatment
* Coordinate and handle new prescription drug orders and reorders, including verifying and renewing benefits
* Assist patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system
* Process and collect copay amounts
* Obtain approvals from insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams
* Screen, identify, resolve, and approve orders with records of sales or clinical issues
* Collaborate with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners to ensure timely handling of specialty drugs and meet financial and clinical expectations
**Required Qualifications**
* Active IL Pharmacy Technician License or willingness to apply for an IL Pharmacy Technician License
* One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone
* One year of work experience with Windows-based applications such as Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
* One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and fitness
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
