Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional service, and we're looking for like-minded individuals to join our mission. **Key Responsibilities:** As a Customer Service Representative in our General Call Center, you will be responsible for: * Providing exceptional service to internal and external customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner. * Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers at all times, even in challenging situations. * Receiving requests from multiple sources (phone, fax, e-Commerce, in-person) and completing necessary processes for equipment services. * Coordinating home equipment service requests with Dispatch for prompt delivery. * Engaging in active listening with customers, confirming or clarifying information, and diffusing angry customers as needed. * Providing customers with product and service information, including details on Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payor sources for equipment. * Verifying medical necessity, insurance coverage, and physician orders for all insurance-assigned services. * Following policy and work instructions to ensure the Billing Department has the correct paperwork to complete insurance. * Understanding and striving to meet or exceed department metrics while providing excellent customer service. * Making sales or recommendations for products or services that may complement client needs, as applicable. * Performing other duties as assigned by management. **Qualifications:** To succeed in this role, you will need: * A high school diploma or general education degree (GED). * 6 months of relevant customer service experience, preferably in a medical equipment or healthcare setting. * Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. * Customer service orientation, with a focus on delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. * Attention to detail, with strong data entry skills and proficiency with computers. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong typing skills and a willingness to learn new technologies. * Physical demands include sitting, talking, and hearing, with occasional standing and walking.
