**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team at arenaflex. As the face of Aetna, you will impact members' service experience by handling customer service inquiries and problems via telephone, internet, or written correspondence. You will engage, consult, and educate members based on their unique needs, preferences, and understanding of Aetna plans, tools, and resources to help guide them along a clear path to care.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Handle customer service inquiries and problems via telephone, internet, or written correspondence
- Engage, consult, and educate members based on their unique needs, preferences, and understanding of Aetna plans, tools, and resources
- Answer questions and resolve issues based on phone calls/letters from members, providers, and other departments
- Triages resulting rework to appropriate staff
- Document and track contacts with members, providers, and plan sponsors
- Guide members through their plan of benefits, Aetna policy, and procedures, as well as having knowledge of resources to comply with any regulatory guidelines
- Create an emotional connection with our members by understanding and engaging the member to the fullest to champion for our members' best health
- Take accountability to fully understand the member's needs by building a trusting and caring relationship with the member
- Anticipate customer needs and provide related information to answer unasked questions
- Explain member's rights and responsibilities in accordance with contract
**Essential Qualifications**
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Customer service experience in a transaction-based environment such as a call center or retail location
- Ability to be empathetic and compassionate
- Experience in a production environment
- Ability to multi-task to accomplish workload efficiently
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain accuracy and production standards
- Problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytical skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with computer systems and software
- Knowledge of Aetna plans, tools, and resources
