You'll engage with customers, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure a positive experience. You'll also model and share customer service best practices with your team members to maintain our high standards of service. **Key Responsibilities** * Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience * Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service * Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items * Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash, and distribute change as requested * Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records * Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader * Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss * Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) * Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Complete resets and revisions as directed * Assist with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures * Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine * Suggestively sell promotional photo products * Assume web pick-up responsibilities (monitors orders in Picture Care Plus, fills orders, and delivers orders to customers as they arrive at store) * Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance * Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers * Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required * 1-2 years of customer service experience in a retail environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a customer-facing role * Knowledge of store systems and store equipment * Experience with digital passport photo service and promotional photo products * Basic computer skills and familiarity with Picture Care Plus **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Basic computer skills and familiarity with Picture Care Plus **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
