Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Customer Engineer to join our team at blithequark. As a Customer Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the adoption of blithequark Cloud products among our clients. Your expertise in cloud computing, technical sales, and customer-facing roles will enable you to provide exceptional support to our clients, helping them to unlock the full potential of our cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify business and technical requirements, lead full technical discovery, and design customer solutions to meet assembled requirements.
- Lead technical projects, technology support, proposal bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of supporting technical resources.
- Deliver product messaging for the blithequark Cloud Platform using whiteboard and slide presentations, product demos, white papers, trial management, and Request for Information (RFI) response documents.
- Drive recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application frameworks to implement a complete solution, providing best practice advice to clients to optimize blithequark Cloud platform effectiveness.
- Attend client sites, meetings, and other events as required.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or a customer-facing role.
- Experience with legacy and modern application development, cloud service delivery, and networking.
- Experience with containers, including Kubernetes and other related technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Full Scope Polygraph clearance status.
- Experience developing mobile architectures using API management, microservice architectures, PaaS, and container orchestration systems, or other relevant platforms.
- Experience working with Government Public Sector clients, including defense and civilian agencies.
- Knowledge of application security architectures, including web application security, service mesh, and mobile security techniques.
- Ability to learn, understand, and work with emerging technologies, philosophies, and solutions in the blithequark Cloud/IT technology space.
