As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, while still being an integral part of our team. **Responsibilities:** As a Customer Care Pharmacy Technician, your primary responsibilities will include: * Answering customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner * Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and transactions * Verifying changes to resolve customer problems * Responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, or internet * Handling medium to large call volumes on a consistent basis * Authorizing and overriding emergent fill medication for veterans and Marshal inmates * Generating faxes and emails * Updating requested doctors to POC lists * Updating requested formulary changes * Setting up and updating new clinics for the VA * Assisting Account Managers with new pharmacy USM detainee RX program * Medical claim questions * Contacting jail facilities to verify inmate information * USMS support (eligibility, PA's, and record changes) * Clarifying information on formulary for the VA * Handling prior authorizations from VA Pharmacy and rejections from retail pharmacy * Training new staff * Performing other job-related duties as assigned **Qualifications:** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess: * Active listening skills and the ability to provide high-level customer service * Accuracy and attention to detail in maintaining records and resolving customer issues * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities * Strong problem-solving and judgment skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Familiarity with pharmacy services and federal healthcare regulations * High school diploma or equivalent required; one to three years of experience in a pharmacy environment or customer service center preferred * Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills required * (CPhT) TX Pharmacy Technician Certification required at hire * Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in English; bilingual (Spanish) a plus **Preferred Skills and Abilities:** * One to three years of experience in a pharmacy environment or customer service center * Knowledge of pharmacy services and federal healthcare regulations * Ability to work with a team of colleagues with diverse work styles and conflict resolution skills * Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment **Work Environment:** As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home. Our work environment is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.
