**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Customer Advocate to join our team, providing exceptional support to our clients in the mortgage industry. As a Customer Advocate, you'll be responsible for processing loan applications, managing customer relationships, and ensuring timely communication with clients and stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities**
As a Customer Advocate, you'll be responsible for:
* Processing loan applications in compliance with mortgage lending and applicable investor guidelines
* Providing periodic status updates and timely return of all incoming inquiry calls
* Noting all communication and statuses in the Loan Operating System
* Contacting borrowers for outstanding documents, including items on the Underwriting Terms and Conditions sheet
* Validating the 1003 loan application for completion and accuracy, and confirming information entered in the Loan Origination System matches
* Analyzing loan applications, assessing creditworthiness, and reviewing title commitments and fees
* Ordering subordinations and allocating fees properly in the system
* Monitoring the loan process and managing proper expectations with clients and sales staff through closing
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* 3+ years of loan processing experience
* Must have VA and FHA loan experience, with a portfolio split of 30/30/30 between FHA/VA/conventional
* Comfortable talking to brokers on the phone, with 80% of the job involving follow-up calls
* Experience managing 30-50 loans in their pipeline
* Ideally, a 50/50 split or more heavily focused on re-finance loans
**Work Environment and Shift**
* 100% remote work environment
* 8-hour shift between 8:00-6:00pm Monday-Friday
