**Job Summary:**
We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chat Moderator to join our remote team. As a Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for maintaining a positive and respectful online environment by enforcing community guidelines, managing user reports, and ensuring that our Discord server remains a safe and enjoyable space for all members. This is a part-time, flexible position that offers the opportunity to work from anywhere and make a meaningful contribution to our online community.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Moderate the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all interactions adhere to our community guidelines and rules
* Delete messages that violate our community guidelines, including but not limited to:
+ Hate speech or discriminatory language
+ Spam or self-promotional content
+ Inflammatory or provocative comments
+ Any other content that may be considered harassment or bullying
* Ban users who repeatedly violate our community guidelines, following our established protocols for user suspension and termination
* Mute users who have violated our community guidelines, restricting their ability to participate in chat until they comply with our rules
* Investigate user reports of community guideline violations, working with our team to resolve issues and ensure that our community remains safe and respectful
* Collaborate with our team to develop and refine our community guidelines, ensuring that they remain effective and relevant
* Provide excellent customer service to our community members, responding to their questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
**Essential Qualifications:**
* 18 years of age or older
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
* Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
* Familiarity with Discord and online community management platforms
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience as a moderator or administrator in online communities (e.g., Discord, Facebook Groups, Reddit)
* Knowledge of community management best practices and online safety protocols
* Familiarity with arenaflex's mission and values
* Experience working with diverse groups and individuals from various backgrounds and cultures
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
