**Job Summary:**
We're seeking an experienced and flexible Chat Moderator to join our remote team on a part-time basis. As a Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our online community by enforcing our rules and guidelines, resolving conflicts, and providing exceptional customer service. **Key Responsibilities:**
* Moderate the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all users
* Enforce our community guidelines and rules, deleting messages, banning users, and muting users as necessary
* Investigate reports of rule violations, taking prompt action to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive community atmosphere
* Collaborate with our team to develop and implement community engagement strategies, promoting a sense of belonging and connection among our users
* Provide exceptional customer service, responding to user inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
* Stay up-to-date with our community guidelines and rules, making recommendations for improvement and updates as needed
* Work closely with our team to identify and address potential issues, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user experience
**Essential Qualifications:**
* 18 years of age or older
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals
* Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
* Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility
* Familiarity with Discord and online community management principles
* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately enforce community guidelines and rules
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience working in a community management or customer service role, preferably in a remote or online environment
* Knowledge of community engagement strategies and tactics, with a focus on promoting user retention and satisfaction
* Familiarity with social media platforms and online communication tools, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms
