About the Role
We are looking for a sharp, motivated, and Experienced Box Truck Dispatcher to keep our fleet of 26ft Non-CDL Box Trucks (equipped with Liftgates) moving efficiently. If you know the Florida freight market like the back of your hand, love negotiating top dollar for specialized loads, and want a paycheck that directly reflects your hustle, this is the role for you.
This position focuses strictly on local and regional loads within the state of Florida. There is zero over-the-road (OTR) dispatching outside of state lines.
Key Responsibilities
• Source & Book Top-Dollar Freight: Hunt down, negotiate, and secure high-paying loads utilizing DAT, Truckstop, and your established broker network.
• Maximize Liftgate Premiums: Capitalize on higher-paying freight by aggressively targeting localized loads that specifically require a 26ft truck and liftgate capabilities.
• Hyper-Local Routing: Coordinate driver schedules and optimize daily routes strictly within South Florida (primarily Miami-Dade and Broward, running up to West Palm Beach at the furthest).
• Enforce Non-CDL Compliance: Closely monitor load weight and dimensions to ensure 100% compliance with non-CDL limitations (keeping freight safely under 26,000 lbs GVWR).
• Tight Communication: Maintain constant, proactive contact with drivers and brokers to guarantee seamless, on-time turnarounds in our local tri-county market.
What We Are Looking For
• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of proven dispatching experience specifically handling 26ft Box Trucks / Straight Trucks.
• Equipment Knowledge: Deep understanding of non-CDL weight restrictions and how to maximize profit using liftgate equipment.
• Market Knowledge: A strong understanding of the Florida freight landscape and established relationships with brokers moving intra-FL freight.
• Negotiation Skills: A proven track record of booking high gross load values—you don’t just take the first offer, you negotiate for the max.
• Location: Based in or around the Miami area with a solid grasp of local transit and logistics constraints.
Compensation & Performance Incentives
This is a 100% commission-based position designed for high-performing dispatchers who want uncapped earning potential. We reward production, not just clock-in hours.
• Commission Structure: Earn 5% to 15% of the gross load value (dependent on experience, volume, and performance metrics).
